Well it is; in acknowledgement of this important day we are excited to share some incredible news: We have officially given playAbility, the team behind the groundbreaking AI-driven assistive gaming technology, an official certification of compatibility for Blacknut’s cloud gaming platform.
This means more players than ever can now enjoy our library of games, regardless of physical limitations.
Founded in 2024, playAbility redefined what it means to make gaming accessible. Their AI-powered software turns facial expressions, everyday tools, and assistive devices—like wheelchair joysticks, quadsticks, or the Xbox Adaptive Controller—into fully customizable game controllers. Basically, if it moves, playAbility can turn it into a controller.
The playAbility team isn’t just tech-savvy; they’re passionate gamers and accessibility advocates. Inspired by the challenges faced by players with limited mobility, they built an innovative Windows app in 2024 that’s all about personalized and seamless gaming. After a successful beta, they approached Blacknut to test compatibility with our cloud gaming platform. Now, we’re thrilled to announce that playAbility’s software is ready to go and available for players starting December 1, 2024.
